Overview

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Koda (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a daily affirmation text message service. By signing up for or using Koda, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The Service

Koda provides:

• A daily affirmation sent by text message at 8 AM in your selected timezone.
• Voice-note verification — you reply with a voice recording of the affirmation, and we transcribe and check it for at least 90% accuracy.
• A personalized audio response sent back to you via text message when you pass the verification.
• 30 days of unique affirmations over the course of your subscription.

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery, and message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and network.

Subscription & Billing

• Price: Koda costs $10 per month, billed through Stripe.
• Billing cycle: Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime directly through Stripe — no need to contact us. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
• Price changes: We may change the subscription price with at least 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be charged the new price at the next billing cycle after the change takes effect.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Koda for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Share your subscription or forward affirmations to non-subscribers.
• Send abusive or threatening content back to the service.
• Use automated systems to interact with the service.

Phone & Messaging

Koda works with US and Canadian phone numbers that can send and receive SMS and MMS messages. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. You are responsible for any charges from your carrier. International support may be added in the future.

Intellectual Property

All affirmation content, audio responses, branding, and software associated with Koda are our intellectual property. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the service content without our written permission.

Disclaimers

Koda is a motivational and productivity tool. It is not medical, psychological, or mental health advice. We make no guarantees about the effectiveness of affirmations or any specific outcome from using the service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call 988 (in the US).

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Koda and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use Koda ends immediately.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Koda after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
